Bacos

Because you can never, never have enough...here is a second helping of hammyness, the Royal Musketeer: Bacos. For those of you keeping track, there is still one slice left to be served up. Then you will have a grand slam breakfast worthy of song.

Check back again soon.

Lolly Pop

Just how many licks does it takes to get to the center? The world may never know. Just a playful little post of a cutesy girl. I am trying to develop a solid and appealing style for my girlie girl drawings. I am certain that this is the first of many scribbles to come.

Girlie dots

This is a quick color sketch that I did tonight of a girl in polka dots. I wanted to flush out the image as quickly as possible without being clumsy or haphazard, while setting the mood of the scene. I think she's cute.

Girl Sketch

Just a simple sketch of a girl with a cloth. I have always admired the elegance of simple linework to describe the human form.

Porkos

Although missing his counterparts, Porkos is at the ready to serve for King and country.

I plan to add some texture to the background and perhaps a few more elements to this sketch. Wish me luck!

DrawerGeeks Triplets

Here is my exploratory sketch for my submission to DrawerGeeks this week. The theme was triplets, so I decided to take the three little pigs and make them into the Three Musketeers. I ran out of time, so I wasn't able to develope the staging much beyond the cleaned up character lineup below.

I like the direction that this is going in. I would like to use a more lively line weight in the tightened drawing in order to preserve the movement and vibrancy of the quick sketch above. Hope you enjoy. I invite you to leave comments!

Sharpening the Pen

Occasionally, I like to sharpen the pen by sketching from my imagination in the sketchbook. Sometimes the pen stays dull. Sometimes it gets pointy.

Some Doodles

Drawing with a brush pen on location can be frustrating. You must learn to relinquish the pursuit of precison in exchange for gesture. That is, however, the very point. Once in a while you hit a stride and the unitelligible mess of ink strokes can actually capture the moment.

Samurai Drawer Geeks

I had great plans for this weeks topic: Samurai. Unfortunately, I ran out of time. Still, I want to flush out this idea a bit further.
